What a cracking weekend!

Hey followers!

Wow, what a weekend!! Yesterday (Friday), I was up a step-ladder at mum's ripping down part of the ceiling, repairing some joists and also supporting/reinforcing one of Ralph's un-supported floor boards (dad's typical DIY)....

Me being me, I just 'had' to get hurt! It was getting late and also losing light, and my trusty stepladder decided to topple (when I was up top with my head in the ceiling/rafters).

Ladder fell to the floor, I fell onto the open ladder.... right ribs first (how else would you want to hurt yourself!?). Being a bloke, I chose to leave it for the night....

I was persuaded by a very close friend to go to A&E. I did, waited three bloody hours (grrrr Cora!), and was told I had broken two ribs.... OUCHY!

So I need to take it easy for a while... not long left until we leave, and there is now a big question-mark over my head. You know how competitive I am, I will not give up easily.... I doubt these huge gashes up my right side will look appealing in the pool though!

Gently does it for a few days I think... then full power ;-)

Thanks to Cora for the help, Im glad it is sorted - you are a STAR! Time to get the meds in :-D

Live long and prosper!

R,

Broken ribs?! Poor excuse, get back on that bike!! ;-) You can still do it, I have every faith in you :-) and as for the gashes in your side, call them war wounds, and get as much sympathy as possible ;-)
